Paul Loranger,
Educator

Biography: Paul Loranger

Paul Loranger completed his Master’s degree at McGill University in the spring of 1981, and since then has continued to develop his expertise in curriculum implementation. He has lectured internationally on "The School Years Dynamics and the Curriculum", "Multicultural Education", “Are we Lecturers, Instructors or Teachers” and most recently in Beijing at the Multiple Intelligence Conference, "the Gifted Child, Multiple Intelligence and the Curriculum".

Paul has worked with the emotional child, the spirited child, the unmotivated learner and the “unteachable” adolescent. Paul has “touched” their deep desire to learn but believes that real relief for these students will come when we begin to change the way we view education. He opens our minds to a broader base from which to build, and in our rejection, reveals the narrow-mindedness and the weakness of our present foundations.

In recent years, Paul has been director and principal at many First Nation Reserves and dealing with ways to implement the new Inspired Educational guidelines of Alberta. This work has led him to write three new books to stimulate interest in learning: “Teaching the Way it is Supposed to be Taught" (for helping to recognize a student’s identity while learning), “My Name is Johny” and "Preparing the Child for the 21st Century “ (for how to insert dynamic thinking Into the learning process).
